One pedal in stock!

Two-in-one pedal containing twin Reuss Ecstatic Overdrive circuits, with a few extra features thrown in

This also makes it a 1990s BluesBreaker mark I based pedal. Or a KoT clone with extra options

The BluesBreaker/KoT circuit is an unusual overdrive pedal design that's very versatile, and what really makes it stand out is the amazing sparkle and warmth it adds at relatively low overdrive levels, just above the point of break-up. Nothing beats it at this discipline, and it does that particular thing better than a Klon, I think. Having two circuits in one box, with all the switchable options in each half, makes it extremely flexible.

Since I released the single circuit Reuss Ecstatic Overdrive pedal in spring 2020, I have had repeated requests for a two-in-one version - and here it is. I couldn't help throwing in a few easter eggs, so on top of the well established BluesBreaker mods of having switchable DRIVE, DISTORTION and BOOST options for each channel, I have added an extra flavour to each side. In the first channel (right footswitch) the DISTORTION setting can be flipped to a pure germanium diode clipping mode, utilising four vintage new old stock USSR diodes. This gives it a more fuzzy and intense distortion character. Much like a vintage MXR Distortion+ pedal (and the Rowland S. Howard pedal). At the second channel, I added a switchable clipping option to the DRIVE setting. This replaces the four MA859 diodes with a hybrid MOSFET/germanium clipping arrangement. This gives a bit more 'hair' and grit to the overdrive sound. These options are not found in a KoT pedal.

I had the good fortune of scoring a stash of genuine vintage new old stock Panasonic MA856 diodes for the Ecstatic Overdrive (the all-important magic KoT diodes). When I tried to re-order these for the Gold Sounds, my supplier shipped some equally rare Panasonic MA859 diodes. The MA856s being long gone, apparently. The MA859s are from the same series of diodes and the specifications are near-identical to the MA856s. Most importantly, the forward voltage being the same. In short, they sound the same.

I ship the pedals with the first channel set to DRIVE and the second set to BOOST, which is a very basic and useful setting. But there's so much more to it, if you dig in and play around with the different settings.

Please note: While the gold knobs looks great on this pedal, and emphasizes the theme, the marking on them is very hard to see. It is recommended that you paint the line with a permanent marker - Or the knobs are easily replaced for any 18-teeth 6 mm shaft push-on knob of maximum 16 mm in diameter.

The identical single pedal Reuss Ecstatic Overdrive did extremely well in this YouTube shoot-out with the analogman King of Tone

Gold Sounds is pretty on the inside too - and a very rugged construction. Better than the King

No returns and no support. If it doesn't work properly, too bad.
Style: Printer & Inks, Style: Printer & Inks
I was fairly happy with my Epson ET 2800, but was told that I'd get better colors with the F170. So I bit the bullet. The installation went smoothly and I was printing in short order. It was when I started printing items that had some dark gray that I noticed the problem. It was printing green. I contacted Epson tech support and they answered the phone almost immediately. (And how rare is that??) The woman I spoke with seemed to be familiar with the problem and advised me to modify the printer preferences and change the color correction from "ICM" to "No color correction". Well, it wasn't printing green anymore. Now the grays were brown. At this point, she ran out of ideas and gave me an email address for the second level of tech support and asked if I'd send a photo of the printed fabrics showing the problem. I did. That was over three weeks ago. I've sent a couple of followup emails, but they're ignoring me. But the best news was discovering that there are no returns on this product. I didn't think that was a thing with Amazon and I've never had any problems before. So now the 30-day return window is about to elapse and it appears that I'm stuck with an oversized doorstop. In the photo I'm including with this review, the fabric on the upper-left was printed with my Epson ET 2800. On the upper right, the F170 with ICM color correction. On the bottom, the F170 with no color correction.

Epson SureColor F170 Sublimation Printer Rocks!
Style: Printer & Inks, Style: Printer & Inks
TI’m a newbie at sublimation, and this is my first sublimation printer. I love it! I can’t wait to make more things! I like that it’s not too large, but still can print up to 8.5x14”. The quality seems to be really good, but I also don’t have any other printer to compare it to. This was my very first project! I’m very happy with it so far!

Fits in a standard tape dispenser
Number of Items: 12
First of all, I like the width of this tape when I don't need the full width of standard 20mm. It's great for delicate projects and minimizing taping over two-sided sublimations like keychains. There's just enough adhesion and it comes off cleanly so it does the job. If you don't need the full width of 20mm, this is a great value. For those looking for a compatible dispenser, these rolls fit into a standard weighted Scotch tape base like the C-38. There will be room around the core because these rolls have a larger diameter, and room on either side because the rolls are thinner than standard Scotch tape, but once you pull the tape onto the blade, the roll remains taut and it's easy to remove pieces of your desired length with one hand.
